The City of Scottville Zoning Board of Appeals was established by the Scottville City Charter and consists of all members of the Scottville City Commission. Meetings will be conducted as part regular City Commission meetings unless a special meeting is called. All meetings are subject to the Open Meetings Act and the public is invited to attend.
The Zoning Board of Appeals have the power to authorize, upon an appeal, specific variances from requirements such as lot area and width regulations, building height regulations, yard and depth regulations and off-street parking and other requirements as specified. The Zoning Board of Appeals hears and decides questions that arise in the administration of the zoning ordinance including the interpretation of text and the zoning map.
